A primary contributing factor is genetic predisposition of hormonal balances or imbalances. All of these factors can be inherited.
Stress & Trauma
Stress causes poor vitamins and nutrients to the hair follicle. This produces increased levels of testosterone, which converts to DHT.
Medications
Taking certain medications can contribute to hair loss. Some of these medications include:

- Blood Pressure Medication
- Diabetes Medication
- Heart Disease Medication
Alopecia
This is an autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss in men, women, and children of any age. The onset of hair loss is often sudden, random, and frequently recurrent.
There are four types of alopecia:
- Alopecia Areata—Hair Loss in Patches, Usually Small & Round
- Alopecia Totalis—Total Hair Loss on the Scalp
- Alopecia Universalis—Total Hair Loss to the Body
- Androgen Ethic Alopecia—Male & Female Pattern Baldness (Not Autoimmune)
